The Principal Investigator
The Principal Investigator (PI) has the operational responsibility of realizing the highest-level decisions of the Science Board. The PI is the Chair of the SB and has the administrative governance of the project.
The current PI of the project is:
Enzo Brocato (INAF – OAR)
The Science Board
The Science Board (SB) has the governance of the project, the responsibility to lead the project and take decisions aimed at obtaining the scientific results described in the original ‘unsolicited’ INAF project: Gravitational Wave Astronomy with the first detection of adLIGO and adVIRGO experiments (attached n.1). The SB has the authority to decide the scientific governance and management of the project. The SB selects the leaders of the Research Unit (RU) and the scientific Working Groups. The SB has the final responsibility of taking decisions in case of disputes.
The current SB of the project is:
- E. Brocato (P.I., INAF – OA Roma)
- M. Branchesi (Univ. Urbino)
- E. Cappellaro (INAF – OA Padova)
- S. Covino (INAF – OA Milano)
- E. Palazzi (INAF – IASF Bologna)
- A. Grado (INAF – OA Capodimonte)
- E. Pian (SNS Pisa)
The project is organized in Research Units (RU). The leader of each RU has the administrative responsibility of the funds assigned at her/his RU.
RU1 : INAF OA Roma (E. Brocato)
RU2 : INAF OA Napoli (A. Grado)
RU3 : INAF IASF Bologna (L. Nicastro)
RU4 : INAF OA Milano (S. Campana)
RU5 : SNS Pisa (E. Pian)
RU6: INAF OA Cagliari (A. Possenti)
RU7: Università di Urbino (M. Branchesi)
The GRAWITA group is composed by “active members” and “collaborators” who want to interact with the team in specific or general problems/issues. Grawita team is therefore open to every kind of collaboration with other people/group who want to interact with us.
The active members group is based on the original group of the PRIN-INAF submitted on September 15, 2014, and researchers who joined later the project. The current group has been assembled taking into account the effective work and duties accomplished up to the 12/01/2016.
Example of qualifying activities are: regular, active participation in research lines, significant participation in the observation managements and activities; significant developing of coding, data analysis procedures and maintenance, writing and organization of GRAWITA funding and observational time proposals; participation on the GRAWITA management; disseminating of results.
